Davette Lynne
Hrabak was born and raised in Price County. Graduating
with honors from Phillips High School in May of 1988, she
moved onto higher education. From September of 1988 to
May of 1990 she attended the University of
Wisconsin--Marshfield/Wood County Center. She then
continued her education at the University of Wisconsin--Eau
Claire from September of 1990 to May of 1993. Davette
graduated with a comprehensive degree in Accounting and
Business Administration.
She worked full time for a
local accountant for over four years, performing a broad range
of activities, including tax preparation, bookkeeping,
consulting, accounting systems implementation, and being an
in-charge auditor. During that time, she earned and
received designation as a Certified Public Accountant.
Also during that time, she
purchased Foytik's Deluxe Bakery (across from BP Amoco) in
Phillips. She remodeled parts of the building, turning
the bakery into an accounting office. Upon her
employer's retirement, she officially opened her business on
October 6, 1997.
Since then she has also earned
and received many credentials. First, the Certified
Fraud Examiner credential, (which allows her to be contracted
by a business to determine if fraudulent activities are
occurring in their organization). In 2002, she became a
Certified Business Manager (CBM), which is a global
credential. She earned three credentials in 2003,
including the Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA), Accredited Tax
Preparer (ATP), and Accredited Business Accountant (ABA).
A member of the WICPA, AICPA, peer review programs, and
Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Davette specializes
in auditing, consulting, bookkeeping, payroll, business
start-up services, and tax preparation. She is a
Certified E-Filer, as well.
To meet the needs of clients,
she maintains a minimum of 120 credit hours of continuing
education every three years in a variety of disciplines.
It is Davette's belief that all
clients should be treated with courteous, prompt, and
affordable service to meet their accounting needs.
